The International Conference on Engineering EXcellence in Civil, Environmental and EDucation Sustainability (EXCEEDS) 2026 is the inaugural conference organised by the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. It is scheduled for 23 to 24 September 2026, in Shah Alam, Malaysia, which is strategically located within 30-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The conference is expected to host 80 to 100 participants civil engineering academics, postgraduates, researchers, policymaker, professionals and sub- professionals from Malaysia and around the globe to explore how the discipline can adapt and evolve to meet the needs of a rapidly changing world.
The conference will host technical sessions and exhibitions in collaboration with key institutional and industry partners. It provides an opportunity to exchange cutting-edge research, best practices, and innovative strategies that support sustainable development, urban resilience, and transformative engineering education. It aims to foster strong interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary partnerships across academia, industry, and government agencies to shape future-proof cities, infrastructures, and engineering professionals. The conference features five thematic tracks, each designed to address core domains in civil and environmental engineering, including the engineering education frontiers. The contributions from academics, practitioners, and policymaker across the civil engineering disciplines are expected to offer insights into inclusive, transformative, and sustainable solutions to advance civil engineering as an indispensable driving force for societal advancement. The conference aspires to set the stage for a future in which engineering excellence is measured not only by technical achievement but by its alignment with human and planetary well-being.
